For the past 10 years, Queen’s Conference on Business and Mining (QCBM) has been growing into the premier undergraduate experience for young professionals entering the mining industry. The conference attracts a variety of multidisciplinary students who benefit from high quality opportunities to network with industry professionals involved in the operational, financial, legal, and ESG aspects of the industry. Delegates will participate in a challenging case study, testing their financial and mining knowledge, and competing for a cash prize valued at approximately one ounce of gold.

DAY ONE

The first day of the conference is dedicated to a panel discussion and networking session.

Delegates are given the opportunity to learn from diverse multidisciplinary professionals and connect with students from other schools and programs.

DAY TWO

The second day is a full day, lunch and breakfast provided event, starting with presentations from our keynote speakers.

After lunch, teams of students complete a financial case study prepared by TD Securities, and then present their case to a panel of judges.

The day ends off with the two best teams going head to head, and a career fair.
